What is Whistleblowing
In general terms, whistleblowing refers to an action where an individual (the whistleblower) informs their employer about unlawful or unethical conduct committed by another person at the workplace or in connection with the performance of other activities for the employer.
Pursuant to Act No. 171/2023 Coll., on the Protection of Whistleblowers, as amended (the "Act"), Vuch s.r.o., Registration No. (IČO): 045 22 150, with its registered office at Lukavička 26, 538 21 Lukavice (the "Company"), has been obliged since December 15, 2023, to establish an internal reporting system (whistleblowing hotline) for conduct that constitutes a criminal offense or a misdemeanor carrying a fine of at least CZK 100,000, as well as for other conduct specified in Section 2 of the Act.
We are convinced that reporting suspicions of potential unlawful conduct protects our business values and corporate culture, as it allows us to identify problems early, prevent inappropriate behavior, and reduce costs associated with corrective measures. At the same time, our internal reporting system protects the anonymity of the whistleblower and prevents potential retaliation.
The Company explicitly excludes receiving reports from persons who do not perform work or other similar activities for the Company pursuant to Section 2, Paragraph 3, Letters a), b), h), or i) of the Act. The Company explicitly warns that submitting a knowingly false report constitutes a misdemeanor under the Act, for which a fine of up to CZK 50,000 may be imposed.
When submitting a report, always state your first name, surname, and date of birth, or another identifier to verify your identity. Otherwise, it will not be possible to provide you with protection against retaliation. The competent persons designated to receive and process reports are bound by confidentiality, and its breach is subject to sanctions.
